Calm, practical tutoring for students with SEN who want to feel more confident with Maths. We build confidence and understanding through enthusiastic teaching. We interview every tutor and only work with people who are passionate about SEN tutoring, safeguarding-trained, Enhanced DBS-checked and insured. Sessions run online or in person across the UK.

How we help
Every student has a unique mix of strengths and hurdles. We never use a standardised approach. We hire experienced tutors and give them space to teach in their style. All tutors are carefully interviewed before joining Sunbeam and share our commitment to compassionate, engaging teaching. Each has up-to-date safeguarding training, insurance and an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Our method
Focused 60-minute sessions with varied tasks, short breaks, and plenty of encouragement. Tutors are experts in their field and teach in their own style. We link strategies back to classwork so progress and confidence translates to school.
Assistive technology
GCSE and A Level Maths tutoring that focuses on the challenges of SEN. Many students feel stuck on a handful of areas, or lose marks through small errors. We work on building strong understanding, keeping working clear, and getting more confident with exam questions, so progress feels steady rather than rushed.

SEN Maths tutoring supports students with Special Educational Needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and dyscalculia. Teaching is step by step with visual methods. Sessions are online across the UK and in person in selected areas.
Yes. We build number sense, place value and confidence in using and manipulating numbers, then reinforce until fluent.
Yes. We use past papers to help students develop exam timing techniques andgain method marks by showing their workings. Tutors also regularly recap revision material. We can also help students learn how to make the best use of their exam access arrangements, so they know what to do ahead of time.
Tuition starts from £72 per 60-minute online session. In-person sessions include a travel fee. You can book a free introductory call with your tutor before starting paid sessions.
Both. We teach online across the UK and offer in-person sessions in selected areas. The approach is the same, and we can coordinate with school, EHCP or EOTAS if helpful.
