About Stephanie
My experience with special educational needs
I have over 20 years of experience tutoring students across all ages and academic levels. During this time, I have worked extensively with learners who have a wide range of special educational needs. During the pandemic, I observed a significant increase in students requiring additional support, particularly those experiencing heightened levels of anxiety.
In addition to my professional practice, I homeschool my own child with special educational needs. This personal experience has further informed my understanding and enabled me to develop effective, evidence-based approaches to learning.
Over the past decade, I have expanded my expertise by studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mental health wellbeing. I am a qualified CBT and EFT practitioner, as well as an Integrative Medicine Practitioner and nutritionist. These skills complement my tutoring and offer techniques that can enhance confidence, improve focus, and reduce anxiety in students.
A bit about me
I began my tutoring career over twenty years ago at the Beverly Hills Tutoring Center, where I became their lead tutor, working with high-profile families in entertainment. After seven years, I expanded my practice internationally, tutoring across Europe and Asia before relocating to the United Kingdom. Since then, I have collaborated with several prestigious UK tutoring agencies, delivering both private tuition and online classroom teaching to schools throughout England and Wales.
In addition to teaching, I have designed curricula for tutoring and test-preparation organisations, with a focus on mathematics, science, and English. I specialise in GCSE and SAT preparation, and I have written my own GCSE ma
I am fully DBS certified and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Occidental College, a Master's degree in Chinese Medicine and a doctorate degree. I hold a diploma in Neuroscience and Neuroanatomy, Psychotherapy and Holistic Life Coaching. I am a practitioner in CBT and EFT.
My teaching philosophy
I specialise in GCSE and A-Level preparation in maths, science, and English, with a focus on helping students overcome test anxiety. Drawing on my background in medicine and education, I provide tailored lessons that build confidence, improve exam performance, and develop lifelong study skills. My approach goes beyond traditional tutoring by incorporating proven techniques that enhance study skills and memory retention, reduce procrastination tendencies and reduce test anxiety and daily stresses. I am genuinely passionate about teaching and love watching students grow in their knowledge and confidence.

Dr. Stephanie delivered so much value for my son….not just in what he has learned across maths, science, and English—-but the huge difference the tutoring has made to his overall confidence and his ability to learn and grasp new things overall. He has enjoyed his daily sessions with you so much——which given his previous lack of interest in learning, is a massive testament to your approach. He is now entering the GCSEs feeling at ease.

I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. These sessions provided me with exercises, breathing and tapping that I can use any time of the day. They have been a life-saver for me, and I feel more motivated and hopeful. Stephanie made me feel safe and supported while guiding me through each step. I am truly grateful for the positive changes that I have experienced!

“I’m speechless. My daughter tells me what a great teacher Stephanie is and she is REALLY tough to please. She says she loves your lessons and is actually looking forward to learning more about maths! She went from an expected 2 in maths to a 5 in just two weeks. How did she do it?!!”
