At Sunbeam Education, we accept fewer than 5% of the educators who apply to work with us, ensuring we have only the best tutors and coaches.

We are proud to offer tutoring and coaching for students with special educational needs. Our specialist tutors provide practical strategies and support, helping students learn in ways that work for them and build confidence in a supportive, understanding environment.

Our tutors are carefully chosen for their empathy, enthusiasm, and commitment to tailoring sessions to each student’s needs. With extensive experience supporting neurodivergent students and those with other special educational needs, they create an environment that nurtures learning and growth while building confidence and independence. With our support, students can make meaningful progress and feel empowered in their learning journey.

  • Our Mission Our Mission Our Mission

At Sunbeam Education, our goal is to provide the best possible learning experience for our students.

Our mission is to support students by providing the tools, guidance, and understanding they need to grow, build confidence, and succeed in their learning endeavours.

Our tutors and coaches are experienced professionals who recognise the unique challenges faced by students with SEN and are committed to supporting their growth and confidence.

I’m an experienced tutor and coach, specialising in Science and Maths, with a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry and a love for teaching.

I have over 12 years of experience tutoring and coaching students at all levels, from pre-GCSE to university, including adult learners and those with variable support needs. I was diagnosed with combined-type ADHD as an adult. Growing up, I was often labelled “lazy” or “a daydreamer” in the classroom. Everything changed when I discovered a learning style that suited me. I began to enjoy education again and developed a passion for Chemistry, eventually completing a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry. I understand how important the learning environment is, particularly for neurodivergent students, such as those with ADHD, autism, or dyslexia. When their strengths and needs are recognised and supported, students can engage, grow, and thrive. Having experienced this myself, I’m committed to creating a supportive, judgement-free environment where students feel comfortable, valued, and confident in their ability to learn.
