My experience with special educational needs
I have spent the past five years working in different educational settings and in all of them I have worked with students with SEN. This includes three years working as a learning support assistant where I worked with students with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and other SEN. My other roles have included teacher, tutor and languages assistant. In all three, I have often had students with SEN in my class and I always make sure that my lessons are accessible.
A bit about me
I am a London-based tutor who has been working in education for the past five years. I am passionate about education and working with students with SEN in particular. My experiences as a learning support assistant have shaped my views around education, and with a brother with SEN, I have seen first-hand the difference that a strong mentor and teacher can make in someone's life.
My teaching philosophy
As a teacher, I am calm, approachable and understanding. I recognise that no two students are the same so I make sure to tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual student. I try to keep my lessons varied, challenging and engaging!

Nick was a kind and patient tutor who really helped me a lot with my language skills! I would definitely recommend him
